Ontario Step 2 Starts Today

The majority of the province will formally enter phase two of the reopening plan at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30. The capacity restrictions for vital retail have been increased to 50%, while non-essential retail must run at 25% capacity.
With a 25% capacity, large indoor religious services or rituals, such as weddings and funerals, can take place. The number of persons able to maintain a two-metre gap will be limited for outdoor services.
Amusement parks, water parks, outdoor theatres, performing arts performances, and live music events can all run at 25% capacity.
The criteria for moving into Step 2 of the reopening plan was vaccine first-dose coverage of 70 to 80 percent of Ontarians aged 18 and older, with a second-dose coverage of 20%.
What are the gathering rules for step two?
Outdoor gatherings will expand from 10 to 25 persons when the province goes to step two on Wednesday.
Furthermore, indoor gatherings with a limit of five individuals will be authorized.
Restaurant gathering limitations are also changing, with six individuals being permitted to sit at a table outside, rather than four.
Will shopping centers reopen?
Indoor shopping malls will be allowed to reopen their doors for the second phase of the reopening, but the scene will be altered.
Non-essential stores will be limited to 25% capacity, whereas necessary stores will be able to operate at 50% capacity.
What rules apply to salons?
Personal care providers, such as hair and nail salons, will be authorized to open at 25% capacity on Wednesday.
Only services that do not require the removal of a face mask will be permitted, and appointments will be necessary.

During the initial stage of re-opening, only OUTDOOR spots will be available. Please keep in mind that wearing masks is MANDATORY in washrooms, food service areas, gift shops, and outdoors where a distance of 2 metres cannot be maintained between household groups and when in close proximity to animal watching locations.

Spend a day to night picnic at Toronto Islands
Toronto Island (Toronto Islands) is located in Lake Ontario that you can travel to via 13-minute ferry ride from downtown Toronto, or you can also get to there by a tender or water taxi. The Island is the largest urban car-free environment in North America, consisting of 15 islands connected by pathways and bridges. You may take a day trip to Toronto Island to bike around the island, visit the amusement park, relax on the beach.
You can bring your own bike to Toronto Island or hire one from Toronto Island Bicycle Rentals from Centre Island. The hourly rentals range from $9 to $34 depending on the type of wheels and include free helmets.

According to the provincial government, Ontario will have to wait 21 days from the commencement of the second phase before going on to Step 3.
In his first news conference on Tuesday, Dr. Kieran Moore, the province's new Chief Medical Officer of Health, reiterated the three-week timeline.
Provincial immunization rates have now surpassed the rates specified by the Ford administration in the ‘Roadmap to Reopening.'
More than 76.6 percent of Ontario people had gotten their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of Sunday, and more than 35% are now fully vaccinated.
