Your path will be carefully mapped out, allowing you to leverage your formal education within the Canadian marketplace.
Your initial McDonald's experience will enable you to "earn as you learn" as you take on a front-line Crew role and acquire the fundamental skills of our restaurant operations. As a student, you will be scheduled for a Part-Time role (subject to work permit restrictions) during your school terms.
As a Crew Member, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks, including cash duties, food and beverage preparation, and service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. After completing your formal education at Seneca, successful participants who have worked with us for 20 hours per week will be offered continued Full-Time Employment or an opportunity to complete 840 hours of externship with Finlayson Hospitality Partners as a Full-Time Team Member.
During this phase, we will guide your progression, providing you with specific training and direction to advance toward Full-Time Restaurant Leadership as a Department Manager.
Finlayson Hospitality Partners also offers guidance to International Students as they work towards attaining Permanent Residence (PR) status in Canada.
Requirements:
Strong passion for pursuing a career in the Hospitality industry
Open availability, with school schedule being prioritized
Excellent written and verbal English language skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency in multitasking within a fast-paced setting
Flexibility to work various shifts, including daytime, evenings, overnights, and weekends
Energetic and outgoing nature, coupled with a strong work ethic
Possess a natural inclination towards hospitality
