What are the differences between HFC and HTM?

Hospitality Foundations, HFC

  • Eight-month certificate program. Students can transfer into the HTM program and continue their studies

Hospitality - Hotel and Restaurant Services Management, HTM

  • Two-year diploma program with a six-month paid work experience. Students after their first semester have the option to specialize in Hotel and Restaurant or Wedding and Conference planning. Students can transfer into a business degree after they have graduated with their Diploma.

I am still in high school. What are the admission requirements for the Hospitality programs?

Hospitality Foundations, HFC

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant

  • English: Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent course

  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents may meet English requirements for this program through successful Seneca pre-admission testing. 

Hospitality - Hotel and Restaurant Services Management, HTM

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant

  • English: Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent course

  • Mathematics: Grade 12 C or U, or Grade 11 C or U, or equivalent course

  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents may satisfy the English and/or mathematics requirements for this program through successful Seneca pre-admission testing.

What time of year can I begin the HTM or HFC program?

Both programs have three intakes - Fall (September), Winter (January), and Summer (May)

How are classes currently being offered during the pandemic?

Currently, students have the opportunity to complete their studies fully online. This allows students to study at their own pace and stay safe.
