What you'll do:

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, the Assistant Food and Beverage Operations Manager will effectively direct the Olio Restaurant, In-Room Dining and the Banquets teams while on duty and in the absence of the Food and Beverage Manager and Senior Leadership. We are looking for a dynamic manager with high energy, creativity, professional manner and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate must have a ‘hands on’ approach and not be afraid to get their hands dirty.

The responsibilities of this position include:

· Communicates expectations to Outlet and/or Banquet Associates through performance appraisals, training, development conversations, departmental orientation, monthly departmental meetings, scheduling etc.

· Maintains Marriott service and product standards in all F&B departments.

· Supervises daily activities of F&B Outlet and Banquet Associates.

· Conducts pre-shift meetings at the beginning of each shift.

· Provide tools, equipment and support to associates to enhance the service delivery.

· Operate within the guidelines of all food & beverage licenses and health & safety laws.

· Communicate service deficiencies and/or associate issues to the Sr. Management

· Maximize Food & Beverage revenues.

· Recommend and implement control procedures to maximize revenues and protect Company assets.

· Monitor productivity, making necessary adjustments in order to operate within the budgeted guidelines.

· Collaborate and provide support on social media initiatives including online reputation management (TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.), content creation and social customer service.

· Submit payroll in a timely basis.

· Other duties as assigned.

What you'll offer us:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and fosters a culture of respect and positivity.

· Must have at least two year of F&B supervisory experience.

· At least three years of Food & Beverage Operations experience.

· Smart Serve Certification required

· Food Handlers Certification an asset

· Diploma/degree in hospitality or related topic preferred

· Knowledge of Open Table and Micros preferred

· Proficient in MS Office programs i.e. Word, Excel

· Knowledge of wines, beer and spirits required

· Must be available to work days, evenings, weekdays and weekends as well as holidays.
