Ronit T.
My name is Ronit Teschner and I am a Professor at the School of Hospitality and Tourism program. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Ryerson University and have an extensive background in Hotel Management.
I joined Seneca College a little over 2 years ago. Prior to that, I worked at Hilton Toronto for 5 years starting as a Director of Conventions and Group Services and then was promoted to Director of Sales. From there I moved to Marriott Courtyard Toronto Downtown, the largest Courtyard in the world. I began there as a Director of Sales & Marketing and after 5 years was promoted to General Manager, a position I treasured for 11 years. Before Hilton and Marriott, I held various catering and operational positions that helped me gain the experience I needed to move up the career ladder.
I enjoy sharing my my experience and learnings with our students, but I also enjoy listening to the students share their own knowledge and skills as it enriches the classroom. I teach various subjects such as Business of Tourism, Services Marketing, and others including Leadership and Operations.
I can’t wait to travel again. My favorite location is where there is a gorgeous beach and a beautiful ocean…and maybe a spa to boot!
